Framestore are looking for Concept Artists and Concept Modellers....

Framestore is currently seeking accomplished Concept Artists & Concept Modellers to join the Art Department.

Concept Artist;
You will be working with the Art Director to develop concept artwork that fits the overall look and art style for current and upcoming film and commercials projects . You will be responsible for providing production artwork, including; character designs, environments, props, effects and shot design.

Requirements:

Must have excellent drawing and painting skills.
Must have excellent 2D skills and traditional art knowledge.
An excellent understanding of anatomy, character design, colour theory, perspective, lighting, and composition.
Design a variety of original concepts, including; interior and exterior environments and accompanying scenery objects.
Be comfortable working with digital media (i.e. Photoshop).
Quickly render imaginative concepts from verbal and written direction.
Work well in, and communicate ideas within a team environment.
Be a self-motivated individual, with a strong work ethic.
Desirable:

Experience with Z Brush or Mudbox
Experience with 3D software such as Maya and Modo.
A passion for Film VFX

Concept Modeller;

he Art Department is looking for a versatile concept Modeller to work on some exciting film projects. Working on a variety of organic, hard surface and environment models for high-end film projects. We are looking for a creative modeller with a broad skill set, and an excellent knowledge of Zbrush/Mud box and other major modelling packages.

Responsibilities:

As a modeller you will be responsible for producing artistic and imaginative models for high-end VFX feature films and commercials. References may include photographs, scan data, blueprints or concept designs. Modellers will work closely with the Art Director and concept artists to produce models that meet the specific requirements of the Art Department.

Key Skills & Experience:

Essential:
Creative conceptual sculpting.
To be able to sketch ideas in Zbrush and then to take them to finished models.
Knowledge of the anatomy.
To communicate gesture, pose and expression within sculpt.
Desirable:

Good traditional drawing skills would be advantageous.
Experience within a VFX/Games studio Art Department.
