Nordic Axe WIP Critique Please!

Hey! I am trying to make a realistic axe.
Please be harsh! Its a nordic axe.

Its looking good. You can however improve the texture.

The cutting area of the axe should be more shiny, & sharp, with grinding lines.

Also whats with the pattern on the metal part of the axe?

YOu can also add more crack lines on the stick, running along the length.

You can also create a bit of blunt or chipp-off at corners of the metal.

The axe head is made of Damascus steel (or Wootz steel - same thing), hence the patterning.

They did a similar metal work on a sword. Best ref I can share

Thanks! I will start fixing it right away!

The pattern is the result of carbon depositing from the layers and layers of steel..

More Stuff!! Please Critique!!

So Nordic guy has a satchel too! This is also a sculpt soon to become an in-game object.
Do you like it? Does make you go googly inside or burn with rage at the inconsistencies? Do tell!
