Foxblade, neville dsouza (2D)

Title: Foxblade
Name: neville dsouza
Country: India
Software: Photoshop

Red, black, gray and white; these colors have captured my attention for a very long time now. But still, red has always been my most favorite, in fact more of an addictive color; which is why its screaming in all its glory in this brand new piece; bringing out black and the darkness of the character exactly the way I wanted it.

Almost a month of devotion.
Done with photoshop CS5, mouse.

The pen tool was used for blocking all the shapes, adjustment layers for final color treatment, my own custom smudge brush for polishing.
The auto tone feature really helped in pumping the specularity, plus a slight tonal shift.

- Rahul, Santosh & Vivek: many thanks for your creative input!

The landscape version : 6000 x 4500

Strong piece, especially knowing the fact that you used mouse for the implementation... You should seriously take consider to get a tablet, dude!

Anyway, nice overall result, I really like this polished effect you've created, seems very metallic but nicely treated surface suggesting that is something very hi-end composite material.
I also like in the character design: the horn feature on "her" head, slightly balancing the feature of the shape of the longish sword - would be great to see this figure moving... Speaking of moving: I have a mild doubt that she could not go into splits position or do any mercurial movements. I think her upper tight / side hip shield part wouldn't allow those type of movement, just to be a bit nit picky... (: Although I can imagine some kind of "parting mechanism" for these sort of whatever problems.

So, great work Neville the red works very well! Keep it up!
