what is the reason mudbox using fov : 27.96 ?

what is the reason mudbox using fov : 27.96 ?

while maya camera with default setting use 37.85, the different is huge.
right now im following the maya camera fov's and it working just fine for me, no flatness and the distortion seems managable. but im still curious of why mudbox using different settings and which one is the "correct" perspective.

depends on the cam you are using...
mudbox is using a vertical FOV and maya a horizontal...

import the cam from maya and you should be save...

there is no wrong prespective...

thanks oglu, its when im imported a scene from maya that i found out about the difference between those two. and yes, maya camera settings would be the save choice and i'll be using that setting from now on.
