Renderman 18 - Quality issues

I am having trouble improving the quality the attached render. I have tried adjusting every setting in the Quality tab of the Render Options to no avail. In particular, the noise in the indirect side of the sphere and the alaising issues along the edge of the red cylinder.

Renderman 18 with Maya.
Only light source is an environment light with ramps controlling the color.
Rendered 32bit exr, although I uploaded a jpg.
Shading Rate is 1.0 on everything. Lower makes no difference.
Direct Light Samples around 350. Again, adjusting makes no difference.

What am I missing?
