advice on any advanced 3d degrees

im finishing up my BS in game production at a video game school called collins college

my school was ok, i learned a lot about making games

since i have my general education done, love modeling, and I am still young, I am thinking about getting some other kind of degree with 3d modeling that can maybe build off of my current degree

problem is that i dont know about 3d modeling degrees

what i want is a degree where you already know how to model but it takes modeling further

I live in Phoenix, AZ right now.....dunno if anyone has any suggestions

I'm not sure if you need too get a degree in modelling even if you had one you still could be a bad modeller.

modelling is a lot of practice and having a great eye. maybe doing sculptor classes, learning anatomy, zbrush and a 3d package would do. just keep doing little personal projects and post in the wip sections. within a year you would be surprised on how good you will be and in the mean time network with the small local studios.

Hey man,

Have you looked at CAD drafting or industrial design? I cant think of any game studios in Phoenix, but I'm sure there are lots of smaller places around that do product/arch viz and advertising work.
