Smile Making an object appear soft

I'm wondering what the trick is to make objects in Maya appear soft. I've created a foam tile and it just doesn't have the softness. I've attached my two target sourceimages as well as my render. Would appreciate any tips.

Looks like the biggest issue right now is the hard edges. Not sure whether you are using mia_roundcorners bump, or just a bevel, but I think those edges could be a bit softer. As for the shader, an mia_material with the rubber preset would be a good place to start.
