Site Re-Design

With the recent site re-design announcement I was wondering why it is that when clicking on images on the home page that the vast majority of them were actually posted years ago - I'm seeing everything from 2008 to 2011. One from 2014 and one from this year. I didn't look at the dates on all but most are really old. How are these images determined to be displayed?

Edit: Can't see a way to delete this so I'll edit... Been back a few times and seen newer works so I guess images rotate a lot?

Glitch on new site in Chrome :)

Hey! There is something wrong with the link "explore Editor's showcase" on renewed site. I am using Chrome and whenever I am trying to click it from, let's say, this page http://benmauro.cgsociety.org/art/a...cend-2d-1208916
i get an empty page... )))

@Margenta thank you, we've fixed the blank page and will make it show the actual gallery soon.

Have you considered providing incentives for critiques on WIP threads? I have worked on literary sites where they incentivize authors to critique other author's work, in return for points towards critiques of their own work. Just a thought.

I like the idea, i'm not sure what you mean by 'points towards critiques of their own work'.
what do the points give you, or is it like reputation or a badge?

It works like this: You have a critique board, and in order to post your work there, you have to have a certain number of points. You *can* gain reputation points from posts you've made throughout the forum, but you gain the most points through offering critiques to other users on their work. So in order to be critiqued, you have to offer a critique.

Now, some sites have different critique boards and different requirements to post to them. What I mean is, to get a veteran critique or a professional critique, the requirements are higher than to be critiqued by the average user.

It's extensive, but common for literary sites. Here are two example sites:

http://www.critiquecircle.com/

Hey just a thought, but it would be wonderful if there was a welcome area to introduce yourself. I just joined and I feel at a loss at where to jump in and start or join conversations, especially since I'm just starting on my animation journey and still growing as an artist, so having a welcome area to help break the ice would be wonderful. I feel like it would also be a wonderful way to network with other artists as well. It would provide a great opportunity for artists to connect with artists which can lead to collabs, mentors, growth, support,. etc,. It would be a great asset to the board I think.

I'd love to see better usability with Safari. The gallery pages that display thumbnails as you scroll almost never work for me on OS X Safari. They simply don't load.

The search box in the site header doesn't seem to work for me in Safari either.

@ArsMod do you have an ad blockers?
I just had a look in my safari and it was doing the same thing, the problem turned out to be an avast security add-on
