Main Character (WIP)

Hi again,

Last time I was on this forum I posted a few pics of my character that I had made. Now Im back again with a new version. I would like to know what you all think. (Made in Zbrush)

All I can see is that the mouth is off (Not enough polys yet) and the eyes are bugging me... If anyone has any advice would be truly grateful. Thanks James

Ps. I got the feeling she was starting to look like Charlize Theron, though that i was'nt going for.

Requiring more polys is not the main problem you are facing at the moment. The face is a complex shape but there are rules and guidelines you can follow to ensure things look decent.

Anatomy books especially like the ones from Andrew Loomis are very helpful with anatomy and planes of the face and what it all means to artists.

But i imagine that might be a bit hardcore for the moment. If you just want to build a face in Zbrush there are many videos on youtube and vimeo that will help you out.

I think Ill take a gander at a few of them, I definitely need a more tips and facial anatomy. Iv seen a bit of his stuff before so digging deep on his things will surely help me out. Thanks for the info.

No worries. Go with the video tutorials on youtube and vimeo, follow along, get used to the tools and workflow then learn the anatomy if you are really serious. It's a tough road but very doable.

Good luck
