Ik Chain Issue With Twist Joints. Character Newb Here

Hi guys,

I have a pre-rigged character from a 3DS max artist in Cinema, and i want to create some controllers around his joints, but I can't seem to create an IK chain that works around his rig

As you can see ( http://i.imgur.com/iVlrx.png ), there are twist joints in the same level of the hierarchy as the next joint down. I'm having trouble creating IK chains, as i'm not sure which joints to include/exclude

Should i re-order these joints somehow to get an IK chain that works?

I've uploaded the rig and model should any of you have the time to check them out.

Thanks!

-Patrick

Create your Upper Arm, Lower Arm, and Wrist chain. Ignore any twist joints. Set up the IK on those. Once it's setup, you can put your twists in as a child of the upper arm and it will be ok.

Hi

Thanks for the advice. I've ended up just re-rigging the thing with the r13 rigging setup. Thanks!
