Help for Seamless Tileable Textures

I do the tiling of texture edges perfectly in photoshop with the offset command, but even the slightest tonal variations sometimes makes it a tiling disaster.

I couldn't embed the image but link to its thumbnail is below. Hope you can see it.

Do you know any command that equalizes the dark and light areas while preventing the loss of color and taste of the image itself?
