Learning Anatomy... again

I find anatomy a bit overwhelming, so it's been a bit start and stop for me. But i'm getting tired of my sculpts looking good, but only good. So i'm going to try and focus more on anatomy. I've started with the humerus:

front:

right:

left:

back:

The joint between the humerus and the radius/ulna is quite complex so i'd really like to pin it down before i move onto those.

I've added the ulna and radius. I think i've got the basic shape but finding images that show in detail these bones is proving difficult.

I see that you are going to create the whole skeleton

Yeah if i ever get round to it. I'll have to update this thread though, i've done the muscles of the arm and the clavicle and scapula.

I would say -

The bottom of the humerus is divided into 3 parts:

1) the outer 1/3 where the radius attaches
2) the middle 1/3 where the ulna attaches
3) the inner (medial) 1/3 which remains empty

1/3 ball for radius

1/3 slightly angled spool for ulna

1/3 empty pointy condyle. Don't bang that on something! It hurts!

I would make your Humerus a bit more narrow a few inches above the elbow joint. Also, You might want to make the radius a bit narrower toward the wrist

This is a link to a humerus that was created for work. you can see how the bone is much more narrow in the shaft
