Alt+2, 3 and 4 not working - AT ALL

Ok great.
So I come to the office for another work day and finds out that some of my most important keybinds have simply stopped working.

I use Alt+1 to 4 to toggle between vertex/face/edge/object -selection and today only Alt+1 works.

I made a MEL script to confirm this as well (added print commands to those buttons) and I don't get anything in the script editor/line.

NVM - just a bug.
Two restarts didn't change anything, but after that I also started having issues in the texture editor: when doing unfolds Maya would delete my UVs entirely.
After a third (or fourth) restart every issue went away and things are now working as expected. Weird or what?

Update:
Seems to be memory-related.
I got the bug once again, and no restarts solved it. But closing down Photoshop fixed the problem instantly.

Win 7 Home edition (yea, not business edition)
Most likely memory related because I've had some weird shit in Photoshop too and not just in Maya. For example, sometimes in Photoshop (when I have much things going/opened up) the Cut and Copy -features stop working entirely - even via edit > menu.

I'm not gonna investigate this further but conclude that my work PC sucks.

I sometimes get weird issues of similar nature in Rhino when running Rhino and Maya simultaneously. Then the issues go away when I close Maya, but not Rhino. I figure it was a Rhino 5 problem, or they're both fighting for GPU resources, or something.

What's your GPU usage like when this occurs for you? Perhaps Photoshop is fighting Maya for resources or something? Don't know.

Could be malfunctioning RAM chip. Might want to do a memtest.
