Bookcover - Marked by the gods

Here's my first finished work!
I'm about to graduate in Design, and I need to create a good portfolio.
What do you people think? Thanks for any feedback! I have a lot to learn from you yet!

It's a book cover for a personal project, called "The parth of the wanderer". The character is a misterious wanderer, who might be part of an ancient and forgotten legend that the Empire tried to destroy. It's a fantasy with chinese, tibetan, japanese and other oriental influences. Hope you like it!

His rump seems to lack a sense of volume. Athletic folks such as warriors tend to have very muscular and prominent butts.

The turning of the form at the belt area and below also doesn't seem to match his body that well (the waist is not a round cylinder--it has planes). The torso also seems a little long.

The way the hair obscures the readability of the contour of his head is a bit unfortunate.
