Inheritance Effector

Hi

I have a cyclinder full of cloned cubes and an atom array object. I want to use the inheritance effector to make the cubes fly from the cylinder and stick to the surface of the atom array. So far I have had no luck, Ive tried using the matrix object but not really sure how to use it properly in this situation and the tutorials I have seen seem to just show how to morph objects onto splines, rather than object to object.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Set the matrix object to object mode and reference the object that you want to move the clones to. Then set the inheritance effector to direct mode and drag the matrix object into the object link box. Check the "morph motion object" box.

Now you can move the clones to the other object by animating the effector's strength slider, or you can use falloff and animate the position of the effector.

Im having yet another problem. I have modelled objects in a null and need to clone cubes onto that null object. When I place the null into the object field of the cloner nothing happens and am wondering how to do this, if you have any ideas?

Try putting your objects in a connect object instead of a null.
