You are very correct. I was thinking small, on the scale of an individual struggling artist. That said, Autodesk can't do much that would be germane to the larger problem either. The problem is economic not technological. It's based on the fact that labor is a global commodity and that countries with a lower cost of living can offer their labor at a greatly reduced rate, even highly skilled labor such as this industry requires. So long as that's the case, studios will exploit that economic reality to maximize their profit.
