I wont even ask what you mean by that

Really amazing stuff.

Just curious--are they straight renders or did you composite the tranaparent elements (ie. tires/chassis) in post?

ah maybe i have missunderstood. the 300SL is modeled completely in c4d, and yes the transparent objects are done in PS. these render though are not finished renders, they are just to show the model. need to find time to finish the project off.

but the cam lense was procrdural.

Thanks a lot guys for all your ideas and examples, much appreciated.

As I thought right from the beginning, I probably go for a cutaway in my case but it was refreshing to see some other ways. Some great work shown here!

Another question:

Does someone maybe know some good examples for this case:
Something complex, let's say "a machine" with hull and stuff inside is presented interactively.
Meaning prerendered layers of the inside, the hull, etc. as seperate layers and then you can simply interactivly click one layer and you see what's on it... know what I mean?
Does anyone know some exaplmes for that?
I guess it would be Flash or HTML5.
