Shadow linking between objects

I have these two objects and a Use background plane in Maya.
One object must cast shadows on the plane. The other object must cast shadows on the first object but not on the plane.

How to do that?

Thanks in advance.

Hey man,

Its a bit of a chore, but try searching the Maya help for:

"Link light sources to surfaces to control shadow calculations"

Sorry what you mean by chore, im dutch?

Well i dont find what im looking for. Its about linking between lights and objects, not between object and another object.

Thanks for your answer.

It just means that it takes a little work to get it done.

If you cant get it to work with light linking, it might be easier just to render out a main pass with separate shadow passes.
