Chewing gum machine, Alberto Ciprian (3D)

Title: Chewing gum machine
Name: Alberto Ciprian
Country: Italy
Software: Blender, Photoshop

The picture represent a classic chewing gum machine made in Blender 2.49. I used Luxrender as render engine to have a more realistic effect.
Comments are welcome. Thanks

Hey man,

Your image does look kind of blurry. Are you trying to get some kind of DOF effect?

The model also lacks some style. It has neither bold, straight lines, nor round, reflective surfaces. I would continue to refine the shape based on some reference photos you like. I assume your going for a rounded look, so it might help to add more curve to your componets so they reflect the light better. Also try adding some chrome trim in between your major components.

The mechanisms like the handle and tray look thin, and that's really hurting the realism of the model. For example, I don't think one of your gumballs would fit down that tube you've got poking out the side.

Also try to pack in your gumballs a little tighter in your hopper so we don't see the gaps.
