Bevel error

I'm getting a "Cannot bevel shapes where more than two faces are attached to a common edge" error on a particular model (Bevel works fine on other models/shapes). I know edges I'm trying to bevel only two faces attached, and while there is some less than perfect geometry in the model, I think this is a bug or a corrupt file....so I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how they fixed it.

hard to say. best if u post an image of the mesh and edges you're trying to bevel.

"I know edges I'm trying to bevel only two faces attached,"

Are you sure? Silo seems to throw up illegal geometry from time to time, no idea why. Try checking your model with selection>special geometry>select over 2 faced edges.

Also try subdividing the model, these illegal edges tend to produce weird spikes when you subdivide.

If in doubt delete the area and rebuild it.

If it is a bug please report it on the bug report forum at Nevercenter! :o) - Baz

Well...I got around the problem.

FYI, In case anyone else runs into this...The geometry I was trying to bevel was sound, should have worked but somewhere along the line I merged some objects, it was after this happened that I couldn't bevel any of the edges anymore. So I just seperated out the pieces I'd previously merged and edges I couldn't bevel before I can bevel now. So I'm thinking some kind of bug, but I don't think I could reproduce it.

Thanks for your suggestions.
