exposure and burn?

well are there such functions?
b cuz i am used to using them in photoshop
wondering is there any on painter 8

One of the painter brush catagories (like acrylic, oils pencils, etc) is 'photo'. Go there and you'll find burn and dodge brushes - as well as blur, sharpen and so on.
