Hey Travis and everyone else at iMT. I'm looking forward towards the opportunity of combining art, science, and engineering. I have 5 years of experience working as a design engineer over at Beale AFB, CA. My engineering projects include wastewater treatment systems, physical security design, HVAC, and power generator equipment.

Currently, I'm working towards transitioning into concept art for feature film and entertainment design. My strengths are in hard surface design, architectural design, and keyframe art.

Because I've worked both sides of the field, I do not see the division between the artist and the engineer. I believe art and technology have always found a need for one another and I constantly reference artists such as Walt Disney who visioned that idea with his team of Imagineers.

If there is science and CG I'm in ! now working on polymers simulation and visualization of molecules. Also started working on a cultural heritage project !

Hey guys, just wanted to throw my hat/hand in with a few projects I've been focusing on. I actually wanted to go to MIT when they weren't checking admission scores though I can't say what I would've majored in. I thought about AI but then I really like animation. especially CG.

BTW has anyone seen Grinning Evil Death created by some students there back in the 90s? It was a seamless mix of both 2D and 3D characters. I'm interested in creating games, AI, and other entertainment based animations like the one I mentioned above. Fascinated by robots, and more specifically robot vehicles.

I've posted a wireframe of a mech selector for a game I'm working on to my FB page feed. Feel free to join me on there if you want, I don't play mindgames.

I've also created a video loop that is an example of a particular type of alternative artificial intelligence as seen in the Gibson novel Neuromancer. I hope to use this as the basis for a metaphysical pan to exploit mental eigenstates to convey large amounts of information to the user abstractly. (Read the video description)

Really like the work in the last post. I especially like the way this pic is able to filter out what does not work in a typical city skyline.


I've been working on getting together a city protocol for procedural work. I'm working in CAD in Lightwave but I'm not really an architect but I've been boning up for the past few uears months ect.

A lot of times people with budgets will take a conceptual approach to creating environments but it seems to yield only a few gems that have to be reverse engineered.

Also like the above pic b/c it reminds me of some old school 2D artwork that might be done for R-Type or Gradius...that'd be kinda what I would expect a great game environment to look like...

Definetley seems to be a lack of activity as you say Imahotep(if that's your real name :" , Just don't want you to experience the deafening silence of the vast and infinite net! Like I said architecture for me recently. Here's a vid showing some normal everyday structures to start off with. l guess most people here have normal everyday jobs and spoke to soon in the name of collabs. :P

Are you involved in 3D printing at all or preparation for creating scale models?
