Making AO's with a big scene?

Hey all,

I tried to make all my Ambient Occlusions for a scene and wound up with perhaps 150 renderings, (I kid you not). My scene is an airplane. Many parts. Many textures. I selected all parts, then Render to Texture, setup for Ambient Occlusion exports, and then Max starts whipping out renders for each part 'separately'.

Can one set Max to render AO's to 'combined' textures instead of pieces of the same texture? Is there a 'group' AO setting for renderings AO scenes all in one pass?

The only way I see around this is to 'Attach' all parts with the same Materials and then try again.
