3dsmax 2019 crashing all the time (after a few minutes of use)

Hello,

I have this case scenario where the program crashes every single session, after I use it (navigation, modelling, etc)

I'm aware that display drivers are one of the most common causes, so I have the latest nvidia drivers.
The only new install I did is the latest drivers of my 3dconnexion device (space mouse pro), and these drivers have bugs, so, maybe....

Does anyone has any idea of possible paths for solutions?
It is literally impossible to even begin any work.

Thank you for helping.

So did you roll back / deinstall the 3dconnexion drivers?

FWIW, I've got a Space Mouse Enterprise on one system and a Space Mouse Pro on another, both with with 3DxWare 10.5.5 and 3DxWinCore 17.5.5.14760. All versions of Max I've had installed since getting hooked on 3Dconnexion (2015-2019) have been stable for me with this driver.

Thank you both for your answers

I did revert to 10.4.10 r2558, and it works very nicely in max 2017, no crash at all. Sadly it is only up to max 2017.

What you say about your 3dconnexion devices working well make me think that my pc, being old, is experiencing some kind of incompatibility issues. It is an EVGA SR-2 dual xeon 5650, which is not supported by windows 10. I think it comes down to that.

The new 3dconnexion driver seems to use different tech.

In fact, I noticed that the 3dconnexion device, since some versions of the driver, is behaving differently from before, it seems that it "caches" the viewport movement, so it can be smooth, then releases it when you stop moving the 3Dmouse. I can feel a slight lag when releasing the device.
The crash occurs at this precise moment, every time.

btw, is there any different installs for 3Dxware and3DxWinCore ? should I install something separately?

And what if I try a 32bits version of the driver? It could be interesting

I don't know of any. That's just the info reported when I go to the About menu for 3dconnexion. I think they are installed together.

I just installed 10.5.5
btw, how did you install the 10.5.5 version on max 2019, it's only supporting up to max 2018?

Max 2019 is definitely supported. Maybe the website info is out-of-date.
