Mixing a colored liquid in another liquid

As the title say, this is what Im trying to do. Playing around with maya fluid dynamics (maya 2012 sap) and Im looking for general ideas and tips. Right now I try to do it with just one of the liquids, "pretending" that it is in another liquid, but maybe there is a better way of doing this? And another question, is it possible to have two fluid systems interact? So that one could try to do it the "real" way? Anyhow, as long as it looks good, just want to see if anyone have any inputs/ideas on this.

Thanks for any answer

No. not as you want it to.

A fluidshape node is a self contained solver (and as it happens, it's own shader too but thats not really relevant here).

There are workarounds. One fluid container's velocity can be applied as a field to another fluid. It is a one way process though.

If you want two colours mixing, you will have to do it in one container with two emitters that emit different colours and the Colour method on the fluid node set to Dynamic Grid.

Ah, ok, thanks, suspected that it would not work.
