first of all thank you Glenn! I feel really glad that you like it so much!

I am afraid I don't understand where I should watch for balance between fore-/background. I am sure you are right (cause you more or less always are ), though.

Could you please somehow eplain/show me where this area is?

nice painting.

I think you could create more space in you painting by knocking back the Island(s), It seams almost as contrasty as the fore/middleground element, also it might be nice to put in some extreme-foreground elements in, just to put the viewer right into the painting.
I'm also in general missing more layers of dept, you only have two and their, to me at least, both middleground elements..


I'm just posting this inhere as well.
