Possible Hair Dynamics Bug or Limitation?
My friend teaches C4D and one of his students came to him with a problem, which I have recreated here. All of this is based in R13, not sure if this is solved in R14.
I have a plane used to generate hair with dynamics, along with a separate floor object set as a static mesh to catch falling objects.
I create a sphere, add dynamics and a hair collision tag, drop it and it hits the floor and compresses the hair as expected.
I create a Mograph linear cloner, put in a sphere, add dynamics and hair collision and it drops and affects the hair as expected.
Now, I create a TP standard emitter. I add a Mograph cloner set to object mode and drag the appropriate TP group as its reference shape. Add dynamics and hair collision and the emitted spheres generated fall and bounce off the floor as expected, but they do not interact with the hair. I tried this with a standard emitter using dynamics as well, no luck getting it to interact with the hair.
I've attached the project...any thoughts?
