King the Talking Lion

Hi CGTalk Animation Section!

The original animation of the fine cut version was made for The 11 Second Club June competition of 2011. The biggest defect of the first version was substituting the lion’s hair with a model. With my colleagues of that time we started out to prepare the hyper version of the scenes. I, as the coordinator of the works, blame it on this that we lost our breath on the way and kept longer breaks, so the finishing was protracted. But at last we are ready!

The original dialogue is from The King's Speech, between Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush.

Thanks to the makers:
Model, Hair Simulation, Lighting & Compositing: Péter Hostyánszki
Matte Paint: Tamás Jarolics
(Character Design, Edited, Sound & CreAnimated by Me)

It was a great fun to compile the lion King and his tamer’s fictive short story! Enjoy You, too!
