Rayfire 1.58.03 Physx Version confusion

Hey guys,

can anyone tell me which Physx Version runs smoothly with the
1.58.03 Version of Rayfire?
Using 3dsmax 2012 64Bit Sp2 - and i can't get it to work.
Tried 2.72.0601 and also 2.86 but everytime i start the sim
i get the "--NO "">="" function for undefined error"

best regards

naik

Damn Internet Explorer crashed before I could post.

I have the same Max version. I'm running with Rayfire 1.58.02 and PhysX version
2.70.1028.1400. It's not exactly a smooth combination. I was getting Rayfire corrupting my files yesterday after making some small fragments. But it's not currently crashing on sim.

That error you're getting, I have had that too in this same version, but not always. When it happens it's crashing in the PhysX plugin. If it does you have to reload max as the plugin doesn't re-initialise otherwise and it won't sim again.

Hi Robin,

thanks for your comments.
To be honest, it's really a pain to find a configuration
which is working. Also i don't understand that there is no 100% information
about that. Seems that many users got his problem.

It doesn't matter how often i restart Max. I just can't a simple sim. It's totally
courrupted. Maybe i have to install the 2.70 Version of PhysX and see how far i get.

cheers

naik

Here is link to latest PhysX plugin.
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/18258488/2...00806.03320.msi

Also you need to update RayFire up to 1.58.05 via About\Update
Always check for updates when there is new PhysX plugin was released.

As for corruption, some of previous release of PhysX plugin in some cases crashed scene at launch if they was created with another PhysX plugin version. So this is not a corruption, but crash at launch. Latest PhysX plugin should not cause such crash.

How can you clean the file if it crashes at launch?
