I'd look at a ThinkPad W540 (disclaimer, I really like ThinkPad laptops and have owned several). It has the option for larger than HD resolution display (2880 x 1620) so you can see full size videos and still have toolbars and such open, option for integrated colorimeter for display calibration, and the ThinkPad line has a stellar reputation. Plus all the other stuff the ADK has like latest Intel processors, four memory slots, two drive bays, external display hookups, Thunderbolt, etc.

maybe it's the same old question.. but I was hoping if some owner would read this and give us his experience

What about ASUS ROG G750JX? Is it worth it? (and alienware 14 & 17 )

How often do you plan to move it around? Those are rebranded Clevo laptops, 5.5kg, plus extra drives, power supplied, mouse, bag etc. Expect a good 8-10kg hanging from your shoulder.

Keyboard and trackpad are off-centered. Lots of people complain about that. Thought it was worth pointing that out.
