Caricature - Rafael Nadal

I've been learning lately new techniques of Photoshop, like Dodge & Burn and liquify effect through several webs and some videos of internet.

With this tools, and other retouch techniques i have try make caricature about Rafael Nadal. taking a base image of reference. I hope that your like the final result although the image lose a little quality

Interesting approach. I think though that maybe the racket could stand to be a bit larger and his head perhaps a bit larger as well.

Yeah, it doesn't make sense for the ball to be gigantic while the racket that needs to hit it with is so tiny, or that the head is much smaller than a tennis ball. Although caricature is about exaggeration, there should still be some semblance of basic visual logic, so the result doesn't look too awkward.

My suggestion is to make the racket much bigger (it's far too small relative to his body anyway), and the ball much smaller.

As for the body, you need to think about what is unique about the person's physique that you can emphasize for effect. Nadal's got very defined muscles, but he's not necessarily got more bulk compared to other tennis players, so maybe you should exaggerate the definition of his muscles more than the bulk?

Hello thrivingartist and Lunatique.

Thanks for the comments. Really, always is good listen new points of view for learning

The idea about the bulk in arms and legs is show the power that have this sportman, that i think is the most important feature about Rafael Nadal. So i made the hands and racket so tiny.
