Scale less than .001?

I have an object I want to scale down to teeny-tiny size, but not zero.

If I put .001 in scale XYZ, that works fine. But if I type in .0001, C4D rounds to zero.

How can I get values less than .001 in the scale parameter?

it rounds the display to 0 but it can handle a value much much smaller

If you want control over this value besides entering it in manually that is a tough one only solution I know is to create a user data, and then use a multiplier or range mapper to remap that to the actual value you want.

The value's still the actual thing you typed in, 0.0001. It just displays up to three decimal places (current display limitation). So if you right-click on an element and do a copy, the actual value will be used instead of the displayed value.

For entries that have distance units (meter, inch, foot, etc.), go to Edit>Preferences, Units tab. Enable Auto Convert Units. Now whenever you have something that's smaller than 1/1000 of your display unit, it will convert it to the next smaller unit. e.g. .0001cm will be converted to 1m.

Unfortunately for unitless numbers and angles, it doesn't auto-convert the displayed values.

Assuming you're in the modeling phase you could scale the whole object up first so you can get the displayed values correct. If you're in the animation phase, you can place the object in a null with its scale set to a fractional value so your scale can still be within three decimal places. E.g. Null parent's scale is .001, Object's scale is .1, effective object's scale would be 0.0001

Please don't scale the whole scene for reasons like that, it has a lot of side effects.
Instead change the display unit in the preferences.
