In The Dead of Winter, Jacek Irzykowski (2D)
Title: In The Dead of Winter
Name: Jacek Irzykowski
Aurora just started its beautiful display on the December sky but Sir Galahad did not have time to cast his eyes on it, he had to be focused...movement in his armor was very difficult that freezing, whisper quiet night.
The dead was awaiting his victim and there was nothing anyone could do to prevent it. Soon the silence will be broken...

Interesting. It does have a more dead feel than a cold feel. Maybe its because the blues are so strong (lighter hues and highlights probably would've increased the value contrast to a more frigid atmosphere). Either way, I'd definitely be wearing a jacket and coat for this place. Took a little while to find your Sir Galahad character. Is he a reference to the king Author quests? I like the bridge a lot (glad he's not taking it either), and I really like how you did the rock formations that hold up the bridge and castle (great sillouette with the castle, by the way). You're little pin points of warm lights in the openning and window really had life and depth to this piece (such a simple thing, but it makes a big difference; good call there). Overall, it's a very cohesive piece with a strong compositional layout, a well balanced color scheme, and fairly well executed and rendered throughout. Keep it up. Great job.
