Question Displacement without bump?

Is there way of geting displacement without bump, other than setting the bump value super low and the displacement value super high.

What the manual says in this matter differs from how messiah behaves. So I guess is unupdated..

Any ideas?

AFAIK no. Messiah's Bump and Displacement are connected. It is supposed to complement each other. You get displacements to a certain resolution and when you have reached the maximum detail that is possible with displacement (and you subdivision settings), then the bumps kick in so you get all detail that is in your bump/displacement map without the need to subdivide your displacement to crazy values.
