What a great looking setup. Thanks for sharing this. Any technical reasons why it wouldn't work with v3.05? Unfortunately I can't update to 3.06 yet due to compatibility with other workstations. Thanks!

Unfortunately ,it use " add" and "substract" mapping nodes in
materials setup wich only appears with 3.06 and above ...

Okay, it all seems to work on OS X, but the Mix material doesn't 'mix' with the 'Clean' one. So if I follow the Pixel Lab tutorial and add a coloured, shiny texture when I then apply PXL+DRT and move the Mix texture to the front, it's still a clean white basic texture; the noise is added, but not on top the original Clean texture. Hope that makes sense... anyone else duplicate this?

Hmm...further experiments indicate that (at least from a clean start) things work as expected.

Are you dragging the clean material from the object manager(as I was doing) or from the material manager? That might be the culprit...

Actually there does seem to be an issue using base material (clean materials) that are already mixes(or multi mixes). These types of materials don't show up properly--seem to lose some of the mixes.

But it should work properly even with a mix-material in the clean material slot.

D'OH! Yes, that solved it. Just drag the 'clean' Octane material from the material shelf NOT from the Object Manager. Works a treat now. Thanks!
