Tax breaks are different from what I was thinking. I don't consider that a form of investment, more of a gamble really. It is a passive bribe that hinges on the hope of luring in companies wanting to save some money; the potential success or failure of this tactic ultimately remains out of the hands of government. What the government should be doing (if they're not already) is investing in home-grown companies that show potential for future success. Of course, i'm not well-versed on the complexities of the issue, I just have serious doubts about the approach our current government is taking.

They should support the industry by improving labor laws and enforcing them.

Tax credits are a band-aid fix.

Are not the labor law in England quite just ?
I can only speak for France and Germany, and mention that the workers have a lot of rights..
Assuming it's the same in England.. Since it's part of the European Union..and quite a civilized country
