Extrude Tool Problem

Hi there,

I am trying to model a Penn state logo and adjusted all of the vertices to match the outline of the image. I am trying to extrude the faces and they keep getting messed up after I extrude them. I included some of the images to show more of what is going on.

BEFORE extrude:

AFTER extrude:

PLEASE help!

Thanks.

Extrude isn't always predictable, if you're just extruding along the z axis without any scale, you can enable the move tool right after your extrude (w key), then just move along the z axis.

it's best to keep your topology as clean as possible. granted I know little of the requirements of this project, you should have made the white pieces of the logo its own mesh.

You could try to delete history and use the thickness slider on the extrude tool.
