Geometry Warping/Stretching in Viewport

Using Maya 2013 on a Mac Pro running 10.8 with two NVIDIA Quadro 4000 cards. Issue Also occurs on a MBP with Retina Display.

First of all, sometimes my grid doesn't render properly.

The main issue is that sometimes certain objects will warp or stretch off into the distance when a portion of the object is behind the camera. My units are set to centimeters.

The issue originally occurred only in wireframe mode, and could be resolved by turning on smooth wireframes, but now it's happening in shaded view as well.

Issue occurs if I have the most up to date NVIDIA driver enabled, or if I switch to the Default OSX driver.

any one else seen this or know a fix?
