Scaling vray sphere light

Hey guys,

am i missing something? It seems that scaling a vray sphere light is not possible in maya.
I saw a tutorial in 3dsmax and there the author scaled the sphere light in order to match a lamp shape.

It doesn't work in maya.

regards

naik

ehh radius? yeah... imagine you create a sphere light ( which actually looks like a ball / sphere )
now i just want to scale it in the Z axis in order to get an egg formed shape.

i hope you get what i mean mate...

Yeah you have right. It's not to be scaled.

im sure you already know this but you could use a standard poly sphere and then use the "turn selection into lights" in the create menu/v-ray
