How to re-map deleted UVs

Hi cg forum,

I have either deleted some UVs from a map, or omitted the face when applying a camera perspective projection to the object.
How can I re-map the object to include these UVs/faces into the current UV map? I've tinkered for a while by deleting connections and nodes and replacing them but I can't seem to get maya to update or renew the UVs.
