HARDCORE MODELING #36: Hollywood Dream Machines: Anakin's Podracer

I've been wanting to do this for a while. Not sure if I'll do any of the other ones (or if I'll have time to get this done either) but we'll see what happens. Luckily with this type of thing there's tons of reference, the miniature (6ft long) has been on display quite a bit along with the full-sized replica. I've also got some books to go through that should have reference.

Thanks

I'm not actually too worried about the engines, they're just cylinders with a bunch of details on them, I guess it just takes a lot of time to get all those wires and pipes.

Do you know, did they use the miniature most of the time in that film? Besides some of the crazy flyby shots of course, was it mostly the miniature model?

I wouldn't think they used the miniature for any of the actual race, since that would be a bit awkward. I think the miniatures were used just for things like the arena where all the pods were waiting at the starting line, maybe for the podracer hangar too
