here is the result for my Alexander's hair. and also i have just completed the feet.

And also some samples i used for statue references. I inspired by the hair style and form of feet(like long index finger

Now it is time to break right arm, to work details on left hand and give the body the posture of my design(the posture of head and legs).

Time is upupupupupupppp!

And here is the beginning of posing my Alex.
I have imported the uncompleted form of the arch(as a reference to pose his hand), but it has lack of faces in Zbrush. Since i am gonna render all the result in Maya, i dont mind it.

Now it is time to turn his head left and place the bow in his mouth with his facial expression, of course!

His cloth should be more realistic, too. And the arch should be completed!! I have not decided yet, whether to cut his right leg or not..

Hi everyone!

Just before the deadline, i have pre-rendered my statue in Zbrush. I want to give a stone/marble effect on him. However, here is is the most like result: "Alexander the Great" in Paralympic Games as an handicapped Archer.

The concept took almost 1 week of me to be able to start with references of arch, bow, Greek statues and handicapped sportsmen. I could model him at night after i am home after work(and sometime at office too)
Well, i can say as average that 3 weeks at nights took the model to complete. I made the base mesh of Alex in Maya, then imported into Zbrush to sculpt him.
The arch group and the mechanic leg were modeled totally in Maya.
Still need time for a better render to post in the desired format.

Congrats all participants

Yep it's coming along nicely now!

The statue could do with a bit more grimacing if they were holding back the arrow with their teeth

Also the string doesn't seem right to me. It might be the arms are not bent back enough on the bow thus making them appear too long?!

An easy fix though so not a problem.

I can't wait to see the end result of this. It is a really great concept and that gives it a great deal of power, so if you can just give it a nice finish it'll be a masterpiece

Good luck

Dave

Thank you Dave, i am gonna consider your opinions when i am ready to get an artistic render to put this work in my portfolio.
What i have presented on the face and body is what i observed in real photos, indeed. However, i see now that i can exaggrate posture and facial impression; to be more artistic.
Cheers
