Question !

Hello , not sure if I may ask here, but I was wondering if someone might sugest me how to get some pilot/astronaut sci fi character already rigged and textured that I might use implement for my spaceship scene , I am not a character artist , not yet at least .

You can find pre made characters on Turbosquid, and others. Depending on the software you are using. Also, you could find a base mesh of a male or female body and modify it. Be sure to read the terms of the model, what it can be used for, etc.

Depending on the software , there are pre made rigs you can use. I'm not sure about Maya, but 3d Studio Max has Character Studio, a pre made biped rig that you can customize. The interface is clunky at first ( and even when you know it well ) but you can do amazing things with it, like import motion capture animations.

If you want to do just a static shot of the character, I don't think you would need a rig, just build and texture the character in its final pose we will see it in.
