Thanks for quick reply. I just record a video for those people who don't know what are we going to do. (The quality of that video is a little bit low, sorry for that.)

Actually, I don't know why I got those expression in my expression editor and what is it about. Is amazing...lol.(I am a very beginner of mel script. So I only can write a very simple experssion.)

As you said, the file will become "normal " after deleted those unused notes an group them into one single group. But why I still got the erroe message? Am I missed something?

I think there are no error message shows on the script editor.

Hmmm. Not much to go on I'm afraid. I don't think the warning messages about mentalray connections are the problem. If you want, send me your latest version of the rig and I'll have another look. As I said earlier, I had no trouble getting 4 copies loaded.

Now that the scene has been cleaned up a bit, have you tried doing some basic trouble shooting like remove (rename) your prefs folder, and load maya with no extra plugins?

But send me the .ma file and I'll check it again. (First I have to sleep, then work, so I'll get back to you in about 24 hours)

By the way, I just tried delete the maya folder in documents and recreate it. It didn't work! There is no plugin in my prefs folder.

hey, my two cents, what if you change the input order on the base mesh?
ant put the skin cluster, followed by the blend shape, and finally the tweak node.

I doubt it's gonna work but its worth a try if you haven't done it already

Kwok and I managed to find a solution to his crash problem. It turns out that there were 3 scriptNodes in the scene, each loading the blendShape editor, resulting in the window flashing several times. Once we deleted those scriptNodes, he was able to import many copies of his original messy rig without a problem. I dont know where those scriptNodes came from, or why loading the blendShape window would cause a crash ( maybe a 2011 issue? ), but it's something to keep in mind for anyone experiencing similar behaviour.
