Black shadow in the mesh when rendering

Hello everyone,
I just noticed during a test render that a section of my geometry has this strange thin black shadow. I already made a search online and changed the smoothing groups by clearing all, I've checked my normals and they fine. Don't know whats wrong. In every render engine this line appears and only in this section.
Hope some has the time to help me in this.
This scene was initially made in 3dsmax 2012 and I've upgraded just this week to 2013 so I'm not complete sure if this was in the previous version.
Thank you

I've used xView to find geometry problems but it seems everything is ok.
Still searching for the why?

Almost looks like the default light setup to me. Have you configured lights in the scene? If not then it's the default lighting. Either add a light rig to the scene or change the default light setup to one light instead of the default two light setup that causes the shadow line (viewport configuration menu).

This was very strange.
I've solved it but I had to make a lot of tweaks.
I opened the file in 3ds max 2012 and the geometry had a lot of problems, crazy stuff so I decided to export it as obj to zbrush and re imported and the mesh was allright. But in Max 2013 the mesh didn't seemed to had any problem, only in 2012 it was visible.
I fix it thanks to zbrush that did something to my geometry.
