Blood Lust, Tanya Varga (formerly Tanya Wheeler) (2D)

Title: Blood Lust
Name: Tanya Varga (formerly Tanya Wheeler)
Country: USA

For those interested in learning more about my digital painting techniques, check out this link below.

Tutorial Book Kickstarter project!:

I recently finished this quick little painting for Halloween! :D I wanted to take a break from the light paintings and paint something really dark for a change which was fun.

This year I thought I`d paint a vampire inspired a little from Countess Báthory with her lust for blood. I am fascinated with the concept and wanted to create a character that was very different but similar in that aspect and a lot darker. Though this character is not supposed to be Countess Báthory, I may consider painting her in the future since I do find her fascinating.

Painted using Photoshop and Painter.

Thanks for taking a look!

Hello Cellesria,

Brilliant work here, I cannot seem to decide what part is my favorite. The way the hair creates those shadows, or her beautifully done face. The only issue I find myself noticing is the color of the blood dripping from her fingers. It seems a bit too solid of a red, possibly you could select a darker red and use the mixer brush tool to blend the darker red with the lighter red. This I think would give it a bit more blending so it will still pop out of the image, while not being too overpowering. Of course as it is now does not at all take away from how amazing this image really is, merely a thought I had.

Fantastic job Cellesria!
