Camera Rig Local Z movement


I have built a couple of Camera Rigs, an Orbit and a Track version. Everything is working fine. However I cannot figure out how to set up a User Data slider to control the Local Z movement of the camera. Once the camera has been moved and rotated the only Z movement I seem to be able to affect is the World Space. Is there a way to have the slider move the camera along it's Local Z axis?

the input port "position z" is in local space (whereas "global.position z" is global). so you already are moving the camera locally, arent´you?
check attached scene file. camera has a user data for local offset.
maybe this helps.

Cam Rig Z_track

Thanks Fuat,

Your suggestion, helped me to find the solution. I added another null for the camera, and did the rotation from that null. This preserved the correct local data on the camera it self, and allowed for a Z movement along the line it was looking. In the rig you sent; if you rotate an upper null the Z movement of the camera is no longer along the direction the camera is looking. Here are the two Camera Rigs with the correct Z Track for the Camera.

you´re welcome.
and thanks for the tip. by the way, to skirt the rotation problem you could also check "coordinate space transformations" with local/global spaces. it´s all about multiplying matrices with inverted ones or with pointpositions/matrices, which is parenting/unparenting in the end.
