Super Hero!!

hello folks!!
this is a personal shot I'm doing in free time in the studio. criticisms are welcome!

Fun seeing that rocket still getting some use.

Some minor feedback on the anim:

-having the initial rumbles while it in the ground greatly reduced will make the rocket feel heavier

-the character is pretty far from camera, I don't think the camera needs to track with his arc out of the hole that much

-slight ground penetration on the back end of the rocket

-some 2d clouds would help give the camera motion a point of reference when he flys up

-the throw itself could use probably double the windup frames to again, help sell the weight.


On a purely aesthetic note, have you thought of having the camera be at ankle height and only pan up? This would hopefully add a bit more 'heroic' perspective on the character and action, but also remove some of the 'looking into a fish bowl' found in animations viewed from the top down.
