i don't really understand the automap option in silo... apparently it uv'-maps the mesh automaticly? how do i know how the uv's look like and if they're correct.

do we have to wait for 2.0 for a uv-editor or how do you handle uv-editing currently? (i guess in a different app)?

I can't speak to uv mapping in silo 1.4x because I haven't used the mapping (I use Cinema 4D and bodypaint for that), but Silo 2 (which could be released in beta this week) has some pretty slick features as shown in this video:

To be honest, Silo 1.4 + UV maps = Crap. Wait for Silo 2.0 or get a different application for UV mapping. Silo 2.0 will be -great- for UV's when it is released from what they've shown us.
