Sikorsky CH53 Rotor, Andreas Kj%C3%A6r-Jensen (3d)



Title: Sikorsky CH53 Rotor

Name: Andreas Kj%C3%A6r-Jensen

Personal work, production model. Responsible for modelling, texturing, lookdev and final compositing and image processing.

Heavily influenced by the different variations of the Sikorsky CH53 helicopter propeller. I wrote a blogpost about the modeling process here: http://andreaskj.com/work-in-progress-sikorsky-ch53-propeller/ .

Software used: 3ds Max, Maya, Mari, V-Ray, Nuke, Photoshop

really inspiring stuff. since the blog is not fully updated, may i inquire about how long did it take to model this ?

also, where's the rest of the chopper? :P

Thanks man! Time-wise I'm not entirely sure to be honest. I worked on and off on this for about 2.5 months.

Haha, I was only interested in modeling the rotor itself for this project

great, i was just wondering how long does it take for a pro to model that kind of stuff in the spare time, now i know
